Terms of Sale for Pythons and Reptiles from TreeGems, LLC

By purchasing a python or similar reptile from TreeGems, LLC ("TreeGems"), you (the "Customer") agree to the following Terms:

Payment Policy and Payment Plans

Tree Gems requires full payment before any animal is shipped to its new home. To place a hold on a specific reptile, the buyer must provide a nonrefundable deposit of $500 of the animal's initial cost. Payments may be processed through Credit/Debit, Paypal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Afterpay (offering two month payment plans). Additionally, TreeGemsLLC offers flexible payment plans offered at the sole discretion of Tree Gems and are evaluated on a case-by-case basis confirmed in a written agreement between parties.

If the snake is not deemed fully established by Tree Gems at the time of placing the hold, a waiting period of 1-3 months may be required to ensure the snake's proper health and survival. If the hold period extends beyond this timeframe, a full refund will be provided, or a new agreement can be made with the buyer until the snake is ready to be shipped.

Shipping Policy

Shipping within the United States is included in the listed price of all pythons unless otherwise specified as a courtsy of purchase through TreeGemsLLC. Tree Gems ships exclusively through FedEx and requires that packages be held for pickup at the nearest staffed FedEx facility. If weather conditions pose a risk to the health of the python(s), Tree Gems will delay shipping until it is safe and convient for both parties.

General Health

TreeGems assures that, unless otherwise specified, the pythons offered for sale have no known history of internal or external parasites, respiratory infections, prolapse, kinks, or skin folds. The Customer is responsible for quarantining all new animals for a sufficient period (a recommended period of 3 months) to ensure their health. TreeGems will not be liable for any alleged or actual death or illness of other animals in the Customer's collection. The Customer acknowledges that they have the necessary knowledge, ability, and experience to properly care for these animals. While TreeGems will make reasonable efforts to provide post-sale support and advice, Tree Gems cannot guarantee the successful acclimation of the python due to potential variations in husbandry practices and environmental conditions.

Live Arrival Guarantee

Tree Gems guarantees live arrival under the following conditions:

The Customer picks up the package within one (1) hour of it being made available at the FedEx location.
The Customer reports any issues to Tree Gems within two (2) hours of receiving the package.
The Customer provides Tree Gems with a clear photograph of the deceased python(s) if applicable.

If a python arrives deceased and the Customer meets the above conditions, Tree Gems will issue a full refund.

Sexing Policy

Tree Gems cannot guarantee accurate sex identification until it is safe for the snake. Green Tree Pythons have very fragile spines, so probing is avoided to determine gender until they are at least two years old. The same policy is considered for Carpondros. If a python is incorrectly sexed after two years of age, the Customer must notify Tree Gems in writing within fourteen (14) days of receiving the python, and appropriate actions will be taken to amend the situation. After this 14-day period, Tree Gems will not be held responsible for any sexing errors.

Viral Testing

Tree Gems encourages testing for nidoviruses (serpentoviruses), IBD and Paramyxovirus for any new python in quarantine before it is incorporated into a collection, regardless of its source. To receive a refund for a nidovirus-positive python, the Customer must:

1. Test the python within seven (7) days of receipt of individual

2. Notify Tree Gems and provide a copy of the positive test results within fourteen (14) days of receipt. If these requirements are met, Tree Gems will provide a shipping label for the python to be returned and issue a full refund upon receipt.

Tree Gems will not be responsible for any positive test results after fourteen (14) days past delivery. This policy is Tree Gems' sole warranty regarding nidoviruses, and no other warranties are made or implied.

**All sales are final. Tree Gems will not refund any shipped animal unless the conditions above are met.**
