TC.24.05 is a special little one eyed Carpondro (75/25) with a very small non functional pin eye development on the right side of the face. I have noticed TC.05 has a jaw deformity, with a slight cleft jaw, opening unevenly while eating. TC.05 can open one side all the way, while the other side of his bottom jaw may not open as wide. Even with these birth defects, this little fireball has a lot of attitude, personality, and impressive tracing abilities. It has eaten nearly every time it's been offered food, swallowing the pinky mice and moving up to small fuzzy mice every time, maybe taking longer than other clutch mates but always getting it down. As this snake matures, special care will need to be provided during feeding, ensuring it swallows every meal. I doubt there will be any excessive jaw strain but it should be considered before a keeper purchases this individual. The one-eyed mutation will likely not cause any long-term health effects, as there are many old one-eyed and even zero-eyed snakes that live healthy and long lives, as pythons can still see in IR (infrared) frequencies with their heat pits.
DISCLAIMER: As with any snake species mutations can happen. Hybridization and the breeding of hybrids has its risk. The many risks include infertility in male counterparts, so all Carpondros should be viewed as pets, knowing that Carpondros can be potentially infertile. Unless otherwise noted, Tree Gems guarantees healthy and thriving individuals free from any visible or noticeable abnormalities or mutations before sale.

DISCLAIMER: As with any snake species, mutations can happen. Hybridization and the breeding of hybrids have their risks. The main danger includes infertility in male counterparts, as 50/50 male Carpondros may be sterile. Therefore, all Carpondros should be considered as pets before potential breeders. Unless otherwise indicated, Tree Gems guarantees healthy and thriving individuals free from any visible or noticeable abnormalities or mutations before sale, unless otherwise indicated.
**Hybridization has its risks! Considering these are some of the first 75% Carpondros in the US. We are still determining how they will be established as adults. However, I anticipate them being excellent pets, with a likely chance that they will be fertile and able to produce a new lineage with striking patterns. From my experience, Carpondros make very hardy snakes, even more resilient than pure Green Tree Pythons. For example, Carpondros may handle larger meals, tolerate handling, and permit wider environmental conditions better than pure GTP's. Please observe the above disclaimer and be aware of possible mutations, including spinal kinks, rib flares, facial deformities, cleft jaws, behavioral abnormalities, neurological impairments, sterility, and other unseen genetic mutations.**
